Just A Taste...
A food memory that I will always remember in my family is an heirloom recipe. A cherished and coveted treat... Rice Pudding!... Not just for dessert, because, it can be eaten hot, cold, breakfast, lunch or dinner... I don’t know who created the recipe, but for me, it started with my grandma and continued with my mother... Mom says, maybe my grandmother’s oldest sister was the first to make it, but she’s not sure... The recipe is not written down, it’s memorized and verbally passed on to the next generation to make with love... Golden buttery sweet rice with a hint of vanilla and a smell that warms the whole house...
